5 Signs It's Time to Clean Your Solar Panels

Installing a solar cell is a worthwhile long-term investment, but to keep your solar cell panels working at their best for a long time, maintenance is important. Today, Energy X will introduce 5 signs that indicate it's time for you to clean your solar cell panels.
1. Monthly electricity bills are starting to rise abnormally.
Solar panels will usually help you reduce your electricity bill steadily. If you notice that your bill is starting to rise again even though your electricity usage hasn't changed, it could be a sign that your solar panels are producing less electricity due to a buildup of dust and dirt.
2. Clearly see dust or dirt on the panel.
If you notice obvious dust, soot, or water stains on your solar panels, that's the clearest sign that their performance is decreasing, as this dirt blocks sunlight.
3. Birds make nests or there are foreign objects on the panels.
In addition to dust, bird droppings, leaves, or other foreign objects can also stick to solar panels, which not only reduces efficiency but can also cause long-term damage to the panels.
4. The amount of electricity produced each day has decreased.
You can monitor your electricity production through an app or the built-in meter. If you notice that your daily electricity production is consistently decreasing compared to the same period in previous years, this is a sign that you need to inspect and clean it up.
5. Performance on sunny days is lower than normal.
On a clear, sunny day, your solar panels should be producing their maximum power. However, if you find that their efficiency is lower than it should be, something is blocking the panels' ability to receive light.
